Facebook Increases Status Update Limit to 63,206 Characters

On Wednesday, Facebook’s Journalist Program Manager Vadim Lavrusi, posted the maximum character limit for status updates had been increased from 5,000 to 63,206. In case you were wondering how big that actually is, the announcement also comes with a reference: “A novel has roughly 500,000 characters. This could be shared in 9 posts.” That’s also equivalent to over 451 tweets, for all of you Tweeters out there.

Use CSS to Create a Transparent Image Link

There are many different effects you can create with transparency. This article shows you how to use CSS to create a hover effect with an image used as a link. When you place your mouse over the image below, the opacity drops to %50, meaning it is half see-through. This a quick and easy method for making image links different when someone puts their mouse over them.
